Before your application

  • Before you apply, research a destination - including universities and units/courses/modules/classes and check out the conditions of the Student Exchange.
  • Come to an info session and speak to the Exchange Office

Process of your application

  • Apply to Exchange Office online or personally via the application form
  • Receive outcome of your application in your AGU email
  • Get Acceptance by Exchange Office and Nomination to a host university
  • Complete and sign the Commitment Letter and relevant program documents
  • Follow the results of Exchange Committee meeting and grade control
  • Complete the application form for your host university
  • Submit host university application form along with any necessary documentation (i.e. accommodation application, passport photos, proof of funds, etc.)
  • Begin completing your study plan - obtaining subject approvals 

After your application is approved

  • Receive Letter of Acceptance from host university
  • Apply for your visa and wait to get them
  • Start your travel preparations and purchase your flights
  • Purchase travel insurance to cover you for the duration of your time outside Turkey
  • Attend the compulsory Pre-Departure session
  • Depart for your host university

While you're away

  • Meet your host university International Office staff
  • Enrol in subjects abroad
  • Send your AGU Exchange advisor your Enrolment Form so that you can be enrolled at AGU
  • Update your Instagram or Twitter accounts during your travels and include #AGUyouth in your post
  • Complete your approved subjects at your host university
  • Submit your transcript from your host university

Upon your return

  • Exchange Office will convert your grades
  • Join AGU Exchange Students and Erasmus Society (AGUees)
  • Attend the Scholars Connect event
  • Help out at our Exchange Office during Orientation Week
